Ribbons

And there go the ribbons
Making me thin
And I just want to know if I'll breathe again
Watching red ribbons
Skinny, small streaks
On a backdrop of bronze
And I often peek
And I look and the ribbons
All sad and pink
And I sit
And I think
And then there are ribbons
